OAE music and dance collaboration

The music department are collaborating with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment to create a site-specific performance piece that will premiere at the Celebrating Excellence Event on Friday 11 July.

New Y10 music students in Ms Tan’s and Ms Vyas’ classes will be creating a musical piece for the performance.

Students will be off timetable on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 July periods 1-5 to work closely with the OAE to create the performance piece. Attendance to all sessions on both days is imperative.

On the day, students will be off timetable period 4 and 5 to rehearse the piece in preparation for the performance in the evening. All music students must attend the rehearsals and evening performance. The final performance in the evening will be recorded and used to summatively assess students in each subject as they have completed their first half term of the subject at GCSE Level.

Please ensure your child is fully prepared for all rehearsals and the live performance on Friday 11 July 2025.
