Year 12 Upcoming Events

Work Experience 6-10 July

All Year 12 should have work experience arranged for this week or have made alternate arrangements and informed Mr Ali and Mr Stokes.  Please contact Mr Ali or Mr Stokes if your child does not have a placement organised.

Sports Morning, Monday 13 July P3-P4

Our annual sports event is back!  Year 12 are invited to on the Heath Periods 3 and 4 for rounders, egg and spoon, welly throwing and other fun events. Bring a picnic and your trainers or come to cheer on your classmates.

Periods 1, 2 and 5 are lessons as normal.

Culture Day, Thursday 16 July

This is your chance to proudly wear clothing associated with your culture. Let’s come together to honour our roots, showcase the rich diversity of our Sixth Form and highlight the unity that makes our community so unique. There will be a Cultural Dress catwalk in the PHS/WES Sixth Form at lunch.

End of term arrangements

Please note that the last day of the academic year for Year 12 is Thursday 16 July. 

For any students resitting GCSEs, Results Day is Thursday 20 August.

Year 13 return to school on Friday 4 September to collect timetables, and lessons begin Monday 7 September.

MenB Vaccine available to Camden Students

The Government is introducing a free one-off, time-limited MenB (meningococcal B) vaccination programme from July 2026 for young people.

You are eligible if:

  • You were born between 1 September 2007 to 31 August 2008.
  • You were born on or after 21 July 2001 and will be a first-time university student in 2026/27 academic year.
  • You were born on or after 21 July 2001 and will be a first-time further education student living in shared accommodation in the 2026/27 academic year

How much do the vaccines cost and how can I get them?

The vaccination is a free NHS programme to those eligible.

Those born from 1 September 2007 to 31 August 2008 will be contacted to book an appointment through the National Booking Service; other eligible people will be access to access vaccination via a walk-in appointment at participating pharmacies.

It is important that everyone eligible has two doses of the vaccine.

Apprenticeships and other non-university pathways

Uni is the primary pathway for most LaSWAP students, but it is not the only option. This webinar will discuss alternative pathways to uni with a focus on apprenticeships, including how and when to apply, how to research, which sectors have the best options and more. There will be time for questions, and the webinar will be recorded for those who can't make it live.
