Y7 Team building trip to Cuffley Camp

On Monday 3 October we want all Y7 students to attend the day trip to Cuffley Camp.  This is an essential part of our ‘beyond the classroom’ learning experience.  Students will have now started to settle into their groups, but we want to ensure that they are able to make friends outside of their classes. The day will focus on developing their leadership skills, teamwork, confidence and resilience. Letters will be sent home with details of the day and payment on Tuesday next week.

Y7 Settling In Event

I would like to ask Y7 parents and carers to keep their diaries free to attend the Settling in Event on Thursday 13 October.  Individual appointments will be made for each student and their family to meet with their tutor or a member of key staff in the Year Team to discuss how they have settled in to life at Acland Burghley. These will be sent out closer to the time.  The work they have been producing, both over the summer holiday and in their new lessons is of a fantastic standard.
