Dear parent/carer,

Free school meals – continuing entitlement

If your child is eligible for free school meals, this entitlement remains during this period of school closure.

From Monday 23 March:

  • If your child is attending school during the school closure as part of the Extraordinary Roll, they will receive a free meal as usual in the canteen.
(Please email info@aclandburghley.camden.sch.uk if you need your child to be enrolled).
  • If your child is not attending school because they are self-isolating, we intend to deliver free school meals to your home address. For most of the first week, this will be in the form of a daily packed lunch. After that, we will deliver fortnightly hampers.
  • If your child is not attending school but is also not self-isolating, their free school meal will be collectable by them/you from the school. Again, for most of the first week, this will be in the form of a daily packed lunch. After that, it will be fortnightly hampers.

The skeleton staffing in the school during this period of closure means that we would appreciate as many children/families collecting their packed lunches/ hampers from the school as possible, in order to reduce the delivery requirements.

In order to reduce the numbers of people gathering for the collections and respect social distancing recommendations, we are phasing collections of packed lunches/ hampers from the Burghley Road gate as follows:

Y7 students: 11.30am-12.00pm

Y8 students: 12.00pm-12.15pm

Y9 students: 12.15pm-12.30pm

Y10 students: 12.30pm-12.45pm

Y11 students: 12.45pm-1.00pm

Sixth formers: 1.00pm-1.15pm

We request that you bring your own bag. In order to help us plan, please email info@aclandburghley.camden.sch.uk if you are self-isolating and require the packed lunches/ hampers to be delivered to you at home, putting “FSM delivery” in the subject title and your child’s name, tutor group and delivery address in the main body of the email.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

We wish you all the best during this difficult time.

Best wishes,

Acland Burghley School
