Creative writing online (Zoom)

We experience Black History Month this year with greater national understanding about the systemic racism in the UK and the UK's past as a colonial power. The protests of the summer have shed a bright light on the challenging and painful issues of discrimination and racial inequality and have encouraged us to demand a more equal and just society. Join us this half term for a three-day course to learn about and celebrate the Black British voices that have been missing from history lessons, and to use your writing skills to tell their stories and bring them to life. We will also explore the work of contemporary Black artists in the UK and use their ideas to inspire our own creative pieces. If you are a budding writer, an emerging poet, a historian, or simply someone who is interested in learning how we can shape our society for the better, then this course is for you. Join us as we embark on a creative journey. This course will be streamed on Zoom make sure you have this downloaded before the start of the class.
