Extra-curricular clubs in PE
We hope you had a good holiday and a Happy New Year!
There have already been various fixtures in the extra-curricular PE clubs in our first 2 weeks back. Below are the results and a small summary of some of the teams back in Action.
Y9 and Y10 Girls Football Team
The Y9 and Y10 team have shown resilience and persistence in the Camden Shield 6-a-side league. The girls won all of their games against Camden School for Girls, Haverstock, UCL Academy, Parliament Hill and LSU.
Boys Football
Y7 Football
This Term the Y7 team have started strongly. They have come back from their Christmas holiday with a determination to be better in training as well around the school. We host Deptford Green on the 20 January in the 2nd round of the Inner London Cup and look forward to getting back to the league after a 3-0 win over Aloysius.
Y8 Football
After a strong start back to the year, the Y8 team came up against a strong UCL side. Although they lost the game, they fought hard and showed resilience until the final whistle. Their next game is away against St Thomas on the 16th of January.
Y9 Football
Y9 came through a tough second round tie to beat Graveney school 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon. A wind sweep Market road meant playing conditions were very challenging for the players.
Callum B made his debut in goal for Y9 making two vital saves to keep the opposition out.
The boys showed resilience to hold onto a slender lead in the final minutes to go through to the next round.
Acland Burghley face Highbury grove in the next round of the Inner London cup.
Well done to all of the team.
U14 Basketball
The U14 team have started their first session back strongly and are looking ahead to a busy schedule of fixtures and the London Youth Games.
