Breaking Bach

On Monday 9 October, dancers from years 8 to 13 took part in a groundbreaking performance with our resident orchestra, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. The OAE played the music of Bach while the students performed a specially choreographed piece in the style of Breakdance.

Nick Gibb, MP and Schools Minister who attended the show, said “Spectacular performance last night by student dancers from Acland Burghley School and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, performing a newly choreographed dance by Kim Brandstrup for the Bach Double Violin Concerto.”
