Autumn 2021 Exam series
Students who received a grade in the summer and are not satisfied with their teacher assessed grades or need an improved result, have the opportunity to sit GCSE and A level exams in an exceptional Autumn 2021 series. Please check on entry deadlines below and contact the Exams Officer if you are intending to take exams in Autumn 2021.
Awarding guidance summer 2021
As a result of the disruption to the education of students caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the government considered that exams cannot be held in summer 2021. The following documents reflect Ofqual and DfE decisions on how grades should be determined in summer 2021 having considered the responses to the consultation launched in January 2021.
JCQ Exam Documentation
The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) oversees the administration of public examinations and school must comply with their rules and regulations. The following notices are information for candidates documents and students are expected to be familiarised with them:
2020 Exam Certificates
GCSE 2020 Exam Certificates are available for collection from the main reception.
Where you cannot collect your certificates in person, you may ask someone to collect them on your behalf, however they MUST provide written permission from you upon collection. This will be kept on file.
School only has a statutory duty to keep certificates for a maximum of 12 months.
If you have lost your certificates or you did not collect them (certificates issued prior to 2020), please contact the Exams Officer to find out if they are still in school, otherwise you will need to contact the individual exam boards for replacements. See links below:
