STEAM Drop Down Day

Monday 28 January 2019

Today all students participated in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) Drop Down Day. Y7 to Y9 took part in many interactive activities which showed the practical application of STEAM subjects from building rockets, robots and bridges to creating their own stop-frame animations and designing a green sustainable city. Y10 meanwhile, learned more about recruitment, CV-writing and job interview preparation with CragRats. In the afternoon Y9 were also treated to a Careers Fair where just under 30 organisations were on hand to tell them about different Career Pathways in preparation for the year group choosing their GCSE courses in February. Thank you to the following companies and organisations for taking part in order to make this terrific day a reality: STEAM Co, BJPce, IJAD dance company, Urban Learners, Price & Myers, Big Creative Education, Roaming Robots, Groundworks, Science Wizards, White Bear Studio, Tomorrow's Engineers, King's Cross Construction Skills centre, The Army, The Navy and String and Tins amongst others!
