Free STEM Mentors for Students in Y12 and Y13

4 April–10 June

Designed to help young people explore their future career options in STEM, a ten-week mentoring programme is open to 16– 18 year olds.

Young people in Y12 and Y13 will have the opportunity to be mentored on ‘life after school’ - whether that's Higher Education, Apprenticeships or preparing for employment. They will chat to trained STEM Ambassadors via a secure and moderated online text messaging system.

Those taking part will receive:

  • One to one support and inspiration from a STEM Ambassador
  • Training on how to use the secure and moderated messaging system
  • Support and resources to help them make informed decisions about their future.

There is no limit on the number of mentees being able to access the programme from any one school or college.
