Geography

“Geography is not only up to date and relevant, it is one of the most exciting, adventurous and valuable subjects to study today. So many of the world’s current problems boil down to geography, and need the geographers of the future to help us understand them.” Michael Palin

Y7 students study an integrated Humanities course where they are taught Geography, History and RE. In Y8 and Y9 students study Geography as a discreet subject taught by Geography speacilalists, 3 hours a fortnight in Y8 and 4 hours a fortnight in Y9. At GCSE, Geography is a popular option with strong results. The department is currently developing the new GCSE specifications which explore a range of exciting topical global issues. On this page you can find important revision materials to help students prepare for their GCSE exams, these include a guide to revising as well as revision sheets and practice exam papers with mark schemes.
